Manufacturing & Support Technician
Location: Westerville, OH
Position Summary
OneVision is seeking a hands-on, motivated, and mechanically inclined technician to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with electromechanical systems, computers, precision instruments, and troubleshooting technical problems. Customer technical support via phone and video conference is an integral part of this role.
You will be trained to build, test, service, and support OneVision inspection equipment and software. As your experience grows, you will become the primary technician for our SeamMate® product line, overseeing the production, testing, and support of video optical measurement systems, precision gauges, and computer hardware and software.
This role combines manufacturing, product testing, customer support, and occasional field service. Travel is limited and required only as needed to assist our sales and services team with customer installations, training, and equipment service visits. While this position typically follows a standard Monday-Friday work schedule, occasional customer support outside normal business hours may be necessary.
Responsibilities
• Build, configure, test, and calibrate precision inspection and measurement systems.
• Configure computer-controlled gauging and information systems in Windows network environments.
• Diagnose, repair, and service electromechanical equipment and related PC components
• Evaluate the accuracy and repeatability of optical and mechanical measurement systems.
• Assist with testing, prototyping, and evaluation of new products and product enhancements.
• Provide telephone, email, and remote technical support to customers.
• Perform occasional on-site installation, training, maintenance, and service visits.
• Document work performed and communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
Qualifications
Required
• Associate degree or equivalent technical training in a related field.
• Coursework or experience involving mechanical systems, electronics, computers, or electromechanical devices.
• Demonstrated electronics knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience building, troubleshooting, repairing, or servicing electromechanical equipment,
instruments, gauges, industrial equipment, or computer systems.
• Experience working with precision measurement devices.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic networking concepts.
• Customer service and technical support experience.
• Experience with SQL databases, including querying and troubleshooting.

Performance Expectations
During the first 90 days, the successful candidate will be trained on OneVision products, manufacturing processes, customer support procedures, and quality standards. Progress will be reviewed periodically, with a formal performance evaluation conducted at the conclusion of the 90-day introductory period.
Travel
Minimal travel required, typically less than 10% of working time.
